PACE of Cincinnati Offers All-Inclusive Care for Older Adults

PACE of Cincinnati is proud to open its doors as a new option for eligible Hamilton County older adults who need supportive medical and social services to help them live their best lives at home. A grand opening and ribbon cutting celebration was held Aug. 27 at the brand new PACE of Cincinnati day health center located in Norwood.

PACE, or Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE), provides comprehensive medical, social and personal care services to older adults who would qualify for nursing home care but who wish to remain independent at home. It also provides support and peace of mind for family caregivers struggling to care for an older loved one while juggling other responsibilities including careers and raising a family.

“PACE is a game-changer for older adults who need a higher level of care but want to maintain their independence,” said PACE of Cincinnati Senior Director, Lori Baker. “We’re excited to open our doors to the community and show how PACE provides not just care, but dignity, choice, and quality of life.”

With a focus on independence and quality of life, PACE of Cincinnati offers all-in-one care, close to home. An interdisciplinary care team provides and coordinates all care and services and works hand-in-hand with participants and their families to develop personalized care plans for each PACE participant. Most services are provided at the new PACE of Cincinnati day health center, located in Norwood, and via a network of local service providers.

PACE covers all Medicare and Medicaid benefits and any other services that are part of a participant’s care plan. Services include adult day care; primary and specialist care (including hearing and vision); transportation; social services; therapies; medications and lab services; meals; in-home care; hospital and emergency care; and more. PACE of Cincinnati provides services across all care settings, 24/7.

To enroll in PACE, individuals must:

    • Be 55 years of age or older
    • Live within the PACE of Cincinnati service area (Hamilton County)
    • Need a nursing home level of care
    • Be able to live safely in the community with the support of PACE services

PACE allows participants to use both Medicare and Medicaid to access and pay for services. Once enrolled, there are no benefit limits, deductibles or copayments for any services provided or coordinated by your PACE of Cincinnati care team. Some participants may have a premium, depending on their financial situation.

Interested individuals and family caregivers can connect with PACE of Cincinnati to learn more, take a tour of the PACE of Cincinnati day health center, and begin the eligibility and enrollment process. Call (513) 862-PACE (7223) or email info@paceofcincinnati.org.

PACE of Cincinnati is part of the state of Ohio’s expansion of PACE. In 2025 and 2026, PACE sites will open across the state, offering services to older adults in 10 counties. Prior to this expansion, only one PACE program existed in the state.
